How to live happy and healthy for a long, long time is a dream for many people around the globe. There are many myths and stories about people who lived longer than average people, and everyone wants to know what the secret of that longevity is.
The myths of those people are still found quite interesting, and the people are trying the answer how some of them have never ever been sick in their life.
So, what is the secret to a long and healthy life?
There were many interesting types of research about the centenarians who were willing to share their wisdom on this issue with others, some of them personally while others on the net. Honestly, many of the stories were completely different and the people who followed them were not able to jump to the conclusion of the “secret” they were looking for. Some of the stories even made more confusions.
The most interesting story is about the Hunza people, who really have taken attention to many researchers in that area. They are people who live in a mountainous valley in the region of Pakistan.
The reasons why these people have been observed:
- Every Hunza has at least a high school diploma, which means that the literacy rate of Hunza valley is more than 95%.
- There are living people of four ethnicities;
- The people follow two different religion;
- They live a very simple lifestyle and they are considered to be very welcoming and warm;
- Some Hunzas live up to 150 years;
- Some of the Hunza’s women can give birth at the age of 65.
- They eat a lot of apricots and never eat processed food.
- Their working time is from sunrise to sunset every day and they work hard.
Following the stories can be made some conclusions about the possibilities to have a long and healthy life:
1) Education through the life
Developing a healthy mind should start at the young age, and you should never stop reading and thinking actively. Almost all Hunzas are educated, which is one of the indicators that we need a healthy developed brain activity to have a healthy life.
2) Single or not it doesn’t matter
Some researchers state that single people live longer, however, healthy relationships can sometimes mean a good connection with yourself.
Using meditation and self-learning techniques can help people to develop a better understanding of the needs and wishes, which can lead to a bigger and wider loving atmosphere for themselves and everyone around them.
The solution is not to stay away from marriage, but be able to “jump out” of an unstable and unhealthy one.
3) Avoid stress!
Stress is the greatest silent killer, and nowadays it is hard to ignore those stressful situations like hard working days, paying rents etc. By managing to survive these modern obligations and complications, when you retire and a slowdown in some peaceful place, you can reconnect with nature and try to live a calmer life.
4) Try to eat organic, natural food
Many people manage to buy organic foods, while some of them have the chance to grow their own. Something what is specific for Hunza people is that they eat only what they grow. When it comes to the health, they are healthy to that stadium that they don’t even know what cancer is.
They don’t know what the pizza is, but they live long and happy life and get to witness their great-grandchildren running and playing around.
5) Don’t skip the physical activity!
Even sometimes it is really hard to manage that, don’t give up! You should always have in mind the working hours in the fields that Hunza people spend a day. Keep, also your muscles “warm” which can never be a bad thing.
We will mention Clarice Emley (105 years old) who is still exercising every day.
The people should be aware that they are never getting younger, however, they should try to get older! That is not easy at all because in many cases they have to give up many things and change their lives direction.
It is worthy to try these things, because they may help you after all. Maybe that will help you to live longer than anyone in your family.
We wish you good luck, and have a long and healthy life!
