Full List of Illegal Cancer-Causing Shampoos! Is Your Shampoo on The List?!

Sometimes, the worst thing that your shampoo can do to you is sting your eyes. Some other times, it can be deadly.

The Center for Environmental Health based in Oakland, California, did a study on soaps and shampoos and found that 98 of them contain a possible carcinogen known as cocamide diethanolamine (cocamide DEA). Cocamide DEA is actually a modified coconut oil that is used as a foaming agent or thickener.

On this list, you will find brand name shampoos produced by Palmolive, Colgate, Colomer and Paul Mitchell. Numerous shampoos that were found to contain cocamide DEA had a fake organic label and were actually intended for toddlers and children.

The Center for Environmental Health prepared a lawsuit against all the companies that produce and distribute these products and falsely claim that they are organic.

Despite the brand name shampoos, cocamide DEA was also discovered in store-brand personal care products sold at Walmart, Kohl’s, Pharmaca and Trader Joe’s.

During the test, it was discovered that the falsely labeled organic products by Africa’s Best, children’s shampoo from Babies R Us and Kmart bubble bath also contained this carcinogenic ingredient. Here’s the list:
